How it Works?

Once you have completed sexual activity, another process starts. This involves a substance called PDE-5.This chemical substance degrades cGMP, and stops the flow of blood to the area surrounding the penis, and the penis becomes slack again.

Tadalafil prevents PDE-5 from breaking down cGMP, which in turn contributes to the blood vessels of the penis being extended over a longer period. This causes the blood flow to the penis becomes longer-lived, and that you can maintain a strong erection longer.

How Do I Take it?

Film-coated Cialis tablets are yellow-colored and almond-shaped.

Each 20, 10, 5, or 2.5 mg tablet has an imprint of C20, C10, C5, and C2 1/2, respectively.

There are two different formulations of Cialis (tadalafil), namely 36-hour Cialis and Cialis for daily use.

1. 36 Hour Cialis is available in 10 and 20 mg doses. It is better and safer to start with 10 mg dose. If the effects do not satisfy you, the dose can be elevated to 20 mg. You take one tablet of Cialis at least 30 minutes before a planned sexual activity. The effectiveness of the drug will then remain in the body for up to 36 hours (this is why 36-hour Tadalafil is called the Weekend Pill). Note that despite the effect lasts for 36 hours, you need to have a sexual stimulation for an erection to occur.
2. Cialis for Daily Use is available in 2.5 mg and 5 mg doses. A single 2.5 or 5 mg tablet is taken every morning, making it a daily routine to follow. The effect will then be constant in your body, and you do not need to take Cialis as soon as the opportunity arises. This way you will be always prepared for a spontaneous sexual activity. The dosage is small, and such effects can be kept to a minimum.

Cialis can be taken with or without water, on a full or an empty stomach. Not to decrease the effects, do not take the drug with more than 5 glasses of alcohol.

Precautions

Cialis can be used in conjunction with other medications, but you are recommended to consult your doctor to be on the safe side.

You are advised to refrain from the use of Cialis if you are currently taking medications containing nitrates.

Precautions in connection with Cialis are also included, if you have previously suffered from a severe heart disease. Likewise, those who previously suffered from stomach ulcers, kidney problems, problems with blood cells or visual disturbances are to be careful about the use of Tadalafil.

Side effects in Tadalafil

Tadalafil is considered the safest drug among the analogues (Levitra and Viagra).

Possible side effects of Cialis are: nasal congestion, muscle aches, upset stomach, facial flushing, headache, back pain and impaired vision.

If you happen to experience any of the mentioned side effects, and they do not give in, it is important that you consult a doctor immediately.

Allergic reactions such as unusual swelling, difficulty breathing, itching or irritation may occur after using Cialis, but usually disappear after a few hours. If reactions do not diminish, you are advised to contact medical help immediately.
